Cabinets, Tear-Out & Installation For About $8500

Sometimes people grow tired off their kitchen, and want a change.  Often people with dark toned kitchens want a "brighter" kitchen so they want a white cabinet, while others who have a white kitchen want a natural wood look.  But sometimes a more subtle change can go a long way in satisfying the urge for change.  Here we went from plain white painted cabinets to our linen white cabinets with raised panels and contrasting glaze, so it was really a case of just wanting a better white kitchen.

We kept the same footprint so we could use the existing countertops, but made some changes with respect to the types of cabinets used.  For instance, we added a custom range hood above, and changed to a group of drawers below the drop in range.

We also added a diagonal corner cabinet and removed the old dated valence across the sink and below the refrigerator.

Sometimes, we will add cabinets to increase the functionality of existing spaces.  Here we added a wine rack, utility shelf, and mullion doors above existing cabinets to increase storage space and to create a more balanced look.

We created a special cabinet to house a microwave that fit the profile of the cabinets rather than one that sticks out from the cabinets like is commonly seen above the stove/range.  Along with the crown molding and light rail, this special cabinet created a very polished look.
